HERRERA: “I REALLY LOVE THIS CLUB”

Manchester United player Ander Herrera said he really loves the club where he plays and admitted that he loved the city’s derbies as well.

Herrera has enjoyed mixed fortunes at Old Trafford. Under the former manager – Louis van Gaal – he went several games without playing, but he has been a stable option under current manager, Jose Mourinho. Fans of the club are gradually growing fond of the player.

Herrera was impressive at the Manchester derby at the EFL. He has disclosed that he loves the club as much as the fans.

“I really love this club and I have enjoyed my time here,” he said to the club’s official website. The Spaniard has grown to like the club and this does not come as a surprise despite not being English or from Manchester. He understands what the club stands for and that has drawn him in.

Another Spaniard that has grown so attached to the club is Juan Mata. Despite not being English players, they have quickly become fans’ favourites as other non-English players like Rafael Da Silva and Patrice Evra.

Man United wanted to sign the player under coach David Moyes, but cases of fake agents and other issues made them forfeit the deal. The next year, Van Gaal signed the player from Athletic Bilbao. Fans have grown to like the player and they appreciate his impact in games. The 27-year old has a large fan base and his showing in this term almost made him win the Player of The Month in October despite the club’s overall poor performance.

“I don’t want to be just one more player. I want to show that I am very happy here and I want to be here for as long as possible,” Herrera said.
